Day 2: Discovering Rio de Janeiro: Corcovado & Sugar Loaf with Lunch
Our adventure kicks off with a hotel pick-up, taking us to the iconic Corcovado Mountain, home to the majestic Christ the Redeemer statue, perched 710 meters above sea level. Beyond this world-renowned landmark, you'll find yourself enveloped by the lush landscapes of the Tijuca National Forest, the world's largest urban rainforest.
From this vantage point, you'll take in breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, the northern part of the city, and its lovely beaches. Following this, we will make our way to the legendary Maracanã Stadium for an external view, allowing you to appreciate its grandeur.
Our journey continues with a visit to the famous Carnival Avenue, the Sambódromo, and the Plaza de la Apotheosis.
You'll have time to recharge with a delightful buffet lunch at a local restaurant, depending on your chosen option. Next, we ascend the impressive Sugarloaf Mountain, standing 395 meters above sea level in the heart of Guanabara Bay. A glass-walled cable car will take us to the summit, offering a stunning 360° vista of Copacabana, Urca, Botafogo, Flamengo, and beyond.
Before concluding the day, we'll explore the charming Historic Center of the city, making stops at the grand Metropolitan Cathedral, the renowned Selarón Steps, and passing by the iconic Arcos da Lapa.

TOUR TO THE “MEETING OF THE WATERS
(Available to guests who are picked up from hotels or the airport by 8:30 a.m.).
Set sail for ECOPARK aboard a traditional double-decker regional boat. As the boat descends the Negro River, you'll glide along the coast of Manaus, offering views of the Amazonas Theater, the Port of Manaus, the Customs House, and glimpses of local life, like the stilt houses. Arrive at the "Meeting of the Waters" by 11:30 a.m.
This natural wonder is where the Negro and Solimões rivers converge, forming the legendary Amazon River that flows to the Atlantic Ocean. Remarkably, the waters of these two rivers flow side by side for approximately 12 km without merging, due to their differing temperatures, densities, and speeds.
An optional lunch is available at a typical, yet clean, buffet-style restaurant serving international and regional dishes. Duration: 8 to 9 hours.
NATURE WALK
ECOPARK is a hotspot of biodiversity, featuring uncatalogued species within pristine rainforests, natural savannahs, and streams. Several warm, crystal-clear streams also traverse the area. On this walk, your guide will educate you about the local flora and fauna, teach you how to find edible fruits and potable water, provide first aid tips, and guide you through forest navigation. Duration: 1 to 3 hours (depending on the participants' health conditions).
MONKEY FOREST
The Monkey Forest, established in 1991, serves as a rehabilitation facility for wild animals confiscated from illegal trade, aiming to return them to their natural habitat. This project is a collaboration with the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Sustainability. Animals initially undergo a quarantine period, receiving care from veterinarians and biologists. In partnership with the FFV (Live Forest Foundation), a non-profit organization managed by Amazon Ecopark Lodge, a special feeding system has been developed. Twice daily (10:30 and 3:30), the animals are given dietary supplements, ensuring they receive essential nutrients.
Visitors are welcomed to observe these animals in a natural and secure setting, with a certified professional accompanying them, allowing for filming and photography. Note that natural factors (breeding season, heavy rains) may affect monkey sightings. Duration: 40 minutes to 1 hour.
IMPORTANT! Twice annually, the monkeys venture into the forest for 2 to 3 weeks to mark their territory, limiting sightings to those in quarantine.
VISIT THE CABOCLOS HOUSE
Depart from the lodge via boat or motorized canoe, accompanied by a bilingual guide, to delve into the traditions and customs of the local Amazonians.
Duration: 40 minutes to 1 hour.
FISHING TOUR
Set off from the lodge in paddled or motorized canoes, guided by a bilingual expert. (Fishing for piranhas and other species, depending on the season). Note: This is non-professional fishing.
Duration: 40 minutes to 1 hour.
NIGHT CANOE TOUR
Embark from the lodge in paddled or motorized canoes to soak in the nighttime jungle sounds, with the chance of spotting small alligators or other nocturnal creatures. Alligator eyes gleam like red lights, and once spotted, the guide will attempt a gentle capture to provide a brief habitat explanation before safely releasing it back. (No harm comes to any animals). Duration: approximately 1 hour.
Note: During the "high water" season (April to August) and on full moon nights, alligator sightings may be scarce.
Day 5: Amazon Lodge
Engage in various lodge activities.
Day 6: Amazon Lodge

Next, we stroll through the Municipal Square, home to the Rio Branco Palace and City Hall, adjacent to the Lacerda elevator, offering one of the most stunning views of the All Saints' Bay.

From the elevator viewpoint, you'll see the Upper City, the Lower City, and the unique perspectives offered by Pelô's streets and houses. Our journey continues to the Terreiro de Jesús, where the Cathedral Basilica of the Savior is located, and we will visit the Church of Saint Francis, renowned as one of the richest in Brazil and the most exquisite example of Portuguese baroque worldwide.

We proceed to the Largo do Pelourinho, a vibrant blend of colors, cultures, and history, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site and immortalized by the celebrated writer Jorge Amado.

Our next stop is the Farol da Barra for a photo opportunity. We continue to the Dique do Tororó, adorned with sculptures of the orixás, African deities introduced by African slaves. Our journey leads us along Avenida del Valle de Nazaré to the city center, passing the port area and through the commercial district of Calçada, where the beautiful Railway Station building can be seen.

Directly opposite lies the Rome square, where the social works of the Sweet Sister(a Bahian nun whose canonization has been petitioned to the Vatican) are located; from here, we continue along Dendezeiros Avenue to Bonfim Hill, pausing to photograph the most famous church in Salvador, renowned for the traditional "Lavagem do Bonfim", a festive event where locals wash the temple's steps in a day-long celebration.

We'll pass by the Fort of Mount Serrat, a site of unparalleled beauty, merging preserved architecture with stunning views of the Bay of All Saints. We conclude with a stop at the Mercado Modelo to savor local crafts, where the sea and the sound of the berimbau captivate tourists and passersby.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant fauna and flora of the Falls region on this tour. In addition to exploring the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, the tour includes a visit to the Bird Park, home to spectacular wildlife. Admission to the Falls is not included, so we'll stop at the Tourist Service Center to purchase tickets before entering.
The falls offer an unforgettable experience, showcasing over 275 waterfalls and creating stunning rainbows. The Bird Park's proximity to Iguazú National Park makes it easily accessible, minimizing transportation time. Upon arrival, guests will explore various trails within the park to engage with and appreciate the local nature.
The park is a vast sanctuary housing birds of various species. In total, there are around 500 species, both tropical and exotic, in a myriad of colors.
