Afterward, we'll proceed to the Dique do Tororó, renowned for its spectacular Candomblé orixás sculptures, and pass by the Arena Fonte Nova, a state-of-the-art stadium built on the historic site of the old Fonte Nova.
The tour continues through the Nazaré Valley, traversing the Américo Simas tunnel until reaching the Lower City. En route, we'll catch glimpses of the port district and the traditional Calçada neighborhood, featuring the impressive train station, a departure point for suburban routes.
Our next stop takes us along Caminho de Areia avenue to the renowned Ribeira ice cream parlor (optional visit, not included in the tour price), celebrated for its delectable tropical fruit flavors. The journey proceeds to Bonfim Hill, where we will pause to admire the city's most celebrated church, globally recognized for the traditional Lavagem do Bonfim, a vibrant celebration filled with faith and joy.
We then make our way to Fort Monte Serrat, a picturesque locale combining preserved colonial architecture with breathtaking vistas of All Saints Bay. Shortly thereafter, we will visit the Sanctuary of Santa Dulce de los Pobres, dedicated to the cherished Bahian nun canonized by the Vatican.
Finally, our tour concludes at the iconic Mercado Modelo, where the lively hues of local craftsmanship, the ocean as a backdrop, and the rhythmic sounds of the berimbau encapsulate the genuine spirit of Salvadoran culture.
