Tour Description

Our tour of Florianópolis, affectionately known as Floripa, takes you on a journey from the north to the south of the city, showcasing a variety of tourist hotspots.

We begin in the city center, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the Ponte Hercílio Luz viewpoint. As one of the world's largest suspension bridges, inaugurated in 1926, it was the first to connect the city with the State of Santa Catarina. We'll also explore the Largo da Alfândega, a beautifully restored area now considered a postcard of the city; the Metropolitan Cathedral, home to an impressive collection of sacred art, including works by artist Demetz Groeden and his renowned sculpture "Escape to Egypt"; Praça 15 de Novembro, which features historic edifices such as the monument honoring heroes of the Paraguayan War and the grand Figueira Centenário trees; and the Palácio Cruz e Sousa, currently housing the Historical Museum of Santa Catarina, which once served as the Palace of the State Government and hosted visits from emperors Dom Pedro I and Dom Pedro II.

Heading east, we'll visit Lagoa da Conceição, a premier attraction in Floripa boasting the largest lagoon, surrounded by mountains, dunes, and beaches. We'll also stop at Joaquina Beach, a favorite among surfers due to its robust waves, and Praia Mole, known for its pristine, green waters. Lunch awaits at Barra da Lagoa, a hub of local fishermen and rich culture. Post-lunch, we'll explore the Projeto Tamar, where a guided tour introduces you to numerous sea turtle species, offering the chance to feed them and witness their sea return—a perfect outing for children with its interactive space. (Note: The Tamar Project ticket is not included.)

Our tour concludes in northern Florianópolis. We'll visit Praia dos Ingleses, known for its excellent infrastructure, making it a top tourist destination; the Balneário de Jurerê, ideal for those seeking tranquil waters; and the Fort of São José da Ponta Grossa, constructed in 1740 and recognized by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage. Here, you'll find photographic exhibits, historic buildings, archaeological excavations, a chapel, and the region's water supply source. Our final stop is Canasvieiras, a popular beach famed for its calm waters.
