Tour Description
Day 1: Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain
We begin the day with the pickup at your hotel or designated location. We head straight to Corcovado Mountain, home to the Christ the Redeemer statue. This famous landmark is 710 meters above sea level. It offers stunning views of Rio’s beaches, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and popular neighborhoods.
After descending Corcovado, we explore Rio’s historical center. First, we visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, an amazing piece of architecture. Next, we stop at the Selarón Steps, a colorful art sample of Rio’s lively culture.
The day concludes with a ride on the Sugarloaf Mountain cable car. From its summit, you’ll witness breathtaking views of the cityscape and coastline. This day`s plan includes the best of nature and city sights. It is great for first-time visitors or those coming back to see Rio`s top spots.
Day 2: Carnival Secrets and Samba Show
The second day focuses on Rio’s rich cultural heritage. We start at the Cidade do Samba (City of Samba), where the magic of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival comes to life. At the samba school Grande Rio, you’ll learn how artisans craft the elaborate costumes and floats.
In the evening, we head to the Ginga Tropical show, a celebration of Brazilian music and dance. This live performance highlights diverse rhythms, from samba to forró, and showcases the cultural vibrancy that defines Rio.
After the show, we return to your hotel for drop-off.
