This enchanting boat excursion sets sail at noon and extends throughout the afternoon. During this journey, we will explore the picturesque Guaraíras Lagoon, the most captivating lagoon in Rio Grande do Norte! Aboard the magnificent SoleMio Schooner, an attraction in its own right, we will enjoy breathtaking views, complemented by lunch and refreshing drinks.
The Guaraíras Lagoon spans several municipalities, with Tibau do Sul being the most renowned. The lagoon's waters provide livelihood for numerous communities along its banks through fishing and tourism. Interestingly, these serene waters were once the site of historical battles during the Dutch invasions of northeastern Brazil. Remnants of a Dutch fort can still be found on Flamengo Island!
Today, visitors are greeted by the tranquil beauty of the lagoon, teeming with diverse wildlife and plant life. The lagoon boasts an expansive mangrove area, home to a rich variety of species. We will also have the opportunity to visit shrimp farms and an oyster farm!
