The Rio de Janeiro and Paraty region has a humid tropical climate. From December to March, intense heat and summer rains prevail; this is peak season due to New Year's (Réveillon) and Carnival, with higher occupancy rates and prices. Between April and June and September and November, the weather is generally more stable and pleasant for city tours, schooner excursions, and walks through the historic center, with less rain and fewer tourists. July and August are cooler, ideal for those who prefer moderate temperatures. If you're looking for beaches and nightlife, summer offers a vibrant atmosphere; if you prioritize price and tranquility, opt for the shoulder seasons. Book in advance during holidays.
