Tour Description
Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
Upon landing at Rio de Janeiro International Airport, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to unwind at the hotel or explore the vibrant city.
Day 2: Discovering Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer - Corcovado + City Tour Rio de Janeiro
Your transfer will pick you up from the hotel around 8 a.m. for a guided tour of Rio de Janeiro's main attractions, lasting approximately 8 hours.
We begin with one of the modern world's seven wonders, Christ the Redeemer, perched atop Corcovado hill in Rio's South Zone, 710 meters above sea level. This iconic monument offers breathtaking views of stunning beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and the city center.
Access the summit by van (included in the package), on a 20-minute journey through the Tijuca National Park, the world's largest urban forest. Enjoy an ecological tour through Rio de Janeiro's rich flora and fauna.
Next, we stop at the exterior of Maracana Stadium, renowned for hosting legendary football matches, including the 2014 World Cup final. If you wish to explore the stadium further, you can pay a fee on-site for an optional tour.
Our journey continues to the Sambódromo, where Rio's vibrant Carnival parades take place. Here, you can visit the Samba Museum and enjoy views from the Plaza Apoteose.
We'll enjoy lunch at a traditional Steakhouse Rodízio before visiting Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the city's iconic landmarks. Rising 395 meters above sea level, you'll take a glass cable car for a 360º view of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana, Urca, Botafogo, and Flamengo.
In the late afternoon, we'll explore the city center, visiting key attractions like the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Selarón Staircase, a masterpiece by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, along with well-preserved architectural gems.
The transfer will return you to your selected hotel at day's end.
Day 3: Leisure Day in Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy a leisure day to explore Rio de Janeiro at your own pace. We recommend an optional 4-hour jeep tour through the Tijuca Forest, taking in the stunning Chinese View and iconic beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema, as well as Guanabara Bay and the Botanical Garden, home to majestic imperial palm trees and rich history from the Brazilian Empire.
Day 4: Leisure Day in Rio de Janeiro
Another free day to delve into Rio de Janeiro's wonders. We recommend an optional walking tour in the city center to visit the Royal Portuguese Reading Room, the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, the Cultural Center of the Bank of Brazil, the National Historical Museum, and the São Bento Monastery, among other attractions.
Day 5: Journey to Manaus
We'll pick you up from your Rio de Janeiro hotel and transport you to the airport for your flight to Manaus.
Upon arriving in Manaus, you will be escorted to your chosen hotel, with the remainder of the day free for personal exploration.
Day 6: Discovering Manaus City Tour
Departing from the hotel, you'll enjoy the scenic walkway of Ponta Negra, along the Negro River, in the city's most prestigious neighborhood, a venue for musical performances and theater shows. We then head to the city center for an internal visit to the Amazonas Theater, a hallmark of the city, opened in 1896, which stands as a testament to the rubber boom—a significant historical era for Brazil—showcasing wealth and grandeur in its passageways, halls, and art.
Our tour proceeds with a panoramic view of the historic city center, highlighting architectural marvels from the rubber era. Next, we visit the Adolpho Lisboa Market, a key hub for regional goods, featuring Art Nouveau architecture—rare in Brazil—that reflects local customs, culture, and traditions. Here, you can purchase unique Amazonian items for your home.
Day 7: Leisure Day in Manaus
Enjoy a leisure day in Manaus. Suggested activity (optional): Embark on a tour to the Meeting of the Waters, a 15 km journey culminating at the natural confluence of the Negro and Solimões Rivers, where you can also admire the giant water lilies, or Vitórias-Régias, typical of the Amazon.
Day 8: Leisure Day in Manaus
Another free day to explore Manaus. Suggested activity (optional): Sail the waters of the Amazon and Solimões rivers to witness the unique pink river dolphins, a freshwater dolphin species known for their distinct pink hue.
Day 9: Conclusion of the Journey
