Day 2: Discovering Manaus

We will depart from our chosen hotels and travel 18 km along the Ponta Negra highway to the port of Manaus, marking the start of our tour. Situated in the heart of the city, the port will be our first stop, followed by a brief visit to the front of the Palace of Rio Negro, the official residence of the State Government.
Next on our itinerary is the Museo del Indio, managed by the Salesian Congregation. This museum is the perfect place to gain insight into the traditions and customs of the indigenous peoples. The collection features over four thousand items crafted by various tribes that have called the region home over the years, including household tools, musical instruments, adornments, and weaponry.
Our tour continues with an external view of the Palace of Justice in Amazonas, a majestic building commissioned by Governor Eduardo Ribeiro. Inspired by French and neoclassical styles, it now serves as a cultural hub.
We will wrap up our tour with a visit to the interior of the Teatro Amazonas. Inaugurated in 1896, this iconic structure is a must-see tourist attraction in Manaus and a symbol of the rubber boom era, showcasing its opulence and grandeur through its halls, rooms, and artworks.
Afterwards, we will return to the selected hotels, concluding our tour.
