We will depart from Manaus at 09:00 am using our land transport to reach Ariau, followed by a 45-minute boat journey to the residence of the Sateré Mawé Tribe.
Upon our arrival around noon, we will enjoy a traditional indigenous lunch, featuring ants as the main ingredient—an essential component of jungle cuisine. Afterward, tribe members will share insights about the Indian pharmacy and the natural medicine crafted from tree leaves and barks, offering valuable knowledge that many of us in the Western world have lost touch with.
Next, we will assist the tribe in locating the renowned "Tucandeiras" ants for the commencement of the ritual, which is advised only for the tribe members to undertake.
