We will depart from our selected hotels and journey 18 km along the Ponta Negra highway to reach the port of Manaus, marking the start of our tour. Situated in the city's heart, the port is our first stop, where we'll explore its interior before making a brief pause in front of the Rio Negro Palace, the official residence of the State Government.
Our next destination is the Museum of the Indian, part of the Salesian Congregation. This museum provides unparalleled insights into the traditions and customs of the indigenous communities. It houses a collection of over four thousand artifacts crafted by various tribes that have inhabited the region over the years. The exhibits feature domestic utensils, musical instruments, ornaments, and weapons.
Next, we'll proceed with an exterior visit to the Palace of Justice in the Amazon, constructed under the direction of Governor Eduardo Ribeiro. This structure, influenced by French and neoclassical architectural styles, has been transformed into a cultural center.
The tour culminates with an interior visit to the Amazon Theater, inaugurated in 1896, which stands as one of Manaus's premier tourist attractions. It represents the opulence of the rubber boom era, with its corridors, halls, and artistic masterpieces echoing the wealth and grandeur of the time.
Subsequently, we will return to the selected hotels, concluding the tour.
