The day kicks off with a hotel pick-up in Rio de Janeiro between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., followed by a scenic drive to Petrópolis that lasts around two hours. During the journey, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Serra dos Órgãos, a mountainous area celebrated for its lush greenery and cooler temperatures.
As we depart from the lively streets of Rio, the refreshing air and peaceful environment of Petrópolis set the day’s mood. Don’t forget to pack a light jacket since the climate here is typically cooler than in Rio.
Our first destination is Casa do Alemão, a traditional eatery renowned for its German sausages and croquettes. Following this, we explore the Quitandinha Palace, a former luxury hotel and casino now serving as a cultural center. Wander through its beautifully landscaped gardens and appreciate the architecture that echoes the city’s European heritage.
Imperial Museum Visit: Entry Included!
The Imperial Museum is a tour highlight.
